The largest cycling event in the English-speaking Caribbean, the T&T Cycling Festival started off as The West Indies vs. the World Cycling Series in 2001 and will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. It is an international level competition with increasing inclusion of aspects of local culture aimed at making the event more of a destination attraction. Currently, it features five nights of intense racing action at several venues throughout the country and cultural shows and nights of entertainment between race days. The venues of competition include the Queen's Park Savannah (opening and closing,) Arima Velodrome, Skinner's Park and Tobago Market Square.
